
College: Youngstown State University is a public, urban research university located in eastern Ohio. The college began in 1908 and was known as Youngstown Institute of Technology, Youngstown College, and Youngstown University before it became a state school in 1967 and began using its current name. The university offers many degrees in 7 schools. It has a low teacher-student ratio (1:19) for a school of its size. It's mascot is the Penguin.
Book: “The Emperor's Egg” by Martin Jenkins (Call number: 589 J). This book was a “WCCPBA” book in 2001. It describes the parental behavior of emperor penguins, focusing on how the male keeps the egg warm until it hatches and how the parents care for the chick after it is born.
