The students in grades K-3 are starting to hear the books on the Washington Children's Choice Picture Book Award list. After the students have heard all 20 nominees, they will vote for their favorite. This week we are reading the 2013 Caldecott Award winning book "This is Not My Hat" by Jon Klassen. Students are debating the end of the story. Some think that the little fish is eaten by the big fish, while other think that the little fish gives the hat back and swims away!
