Grade 3-6 Student Complete TRAILS On-Line Assessment

This week students in Grades 3- 6 took the TRAILS On-line assessment during library class.  TRAILS stands for Tool for Real-time Assessment of Information Literacy Skills.  The assessment covers research skills, library skills, web skills.  Assessment items are based on the American Association of School Librarian’s (AASL) Standards for the 21st Century Learner and those from the Common Core State Standards (CCSS).  The assessment is run by Kent State University.  We will use the data to plan future class instruction in the library and to work with small groups of students on skill areas that they need to learn or practice.
