This Week in the Library: May 12 - 15

Testing Continues at Sherwood, which means schedule changes!  Here's what was done this week during library classes:

Kindergarten, Grades 2 & 3:  Heard "Goldie and the Three Bears" by Dianne Stanley.  Students compared and contrasted the story with the traditional story of "The Three Bears."  Every student was able to come up with a couple similarities and differences.   Version of the Traditional Story

Grade 1:  Listened to "Sixteen Cows" by Lisa Wheeler.  We reviewed alphabetical order and will finish our alphabetical order unit next week by alphabetizing the cow's names from the story.

Grades 4-6: Continued to read for our Picture Book Battle of the Books.  Students worked on book summary sheets (each student it responsible for completing a summary sheet for at least 4 picture books).

Little Eaglets: Preschool program had Mrs. Collins, Learning Support Teacher, as the guest reader.  Next week's reader is Mrs. Turley, Educational Assistant.  Preschool time is Thursdays from 3:30 - 3:50 through June 5.
