TRAILS Assessment

The past 2 weeks the 4-6 grade classes have been taking the online TRAIL assessment.  TRAILS stands for Tool for Real-time Assessment of Information Literacy Skills.  The assessment covers research skills, library skills, web skills.  Assessment items are based on the American Association of School Librarian's (AASL) Standards for the 21st Century Learner and those from the Common Core State Standards (CCSS).  The assessment is run by Kent State University.  We will use the data to plan future instruction in the library and to work with students on skill areas that they need to learn or practice.  3rd graders will take the assessment after Spring Break.
