Lots of things are going on in the library as we head toward Spring Break!
The 3rd grade completed posters for the Best Book I Ever Read poster contest. The contest celebrates National Children's Book Week in May and is sponsored by the Edmonds Arts Commission and the Friends of Edmonds Library. 20 posters were select from Sherwood for the contest which includes 3rd graders in schools in the City of Edmonds. We are waiting to hear if any of our posters were selected as "Outstanding" or "Honorable Mention". Non-winning posters will be hung in the library in May!
Mrs. Pawling's 5/6 class and the 5th grade will be participating in a skype author visit with Gordon Korman on March 28. Mrs. Pawling's class won the visit through Scholastic Book Orders. Not only did the class win the visit, they also got a web camera and copies of this newest book. It will be Sherwood's 1st Skype visit by an author!
