Best Books Junior Introduced to 2nd & 3rd Graders

Sherwood is starting a Best Book program for 2nd and 3rd graders called Best Books Junior.  The program will last until mid-June when there will be a school competition.  Based on the Best Books program for 4-6 graders, the program offers students to compete in a battle of the books with books at their level.  The program is using books from the Beverly Cleary Award Nominee list and will be introduced to 2nd and 3rd graders this week during library class.  A brochure is available on the library circulation counter.  Funds for these books was made possible by a parent donation and matching corporate money.  Happy Reading!
